SamDim Yakovlev Yak 42
Built to replace the aging (but still in use) Tu-134 the first soviet jet to use high-bypass engines has been very well crafted for your flight simulation pleasure. Dimitri Samborski has created another great quality model and like other SamDim projects it’s brimming with details and depth. If you fancy trying your hand at flying a great looking and fairly modern piece of technology you can get it from the developers website.

David Maltby’s Comet now with Virtual cockpit!
Never sure of release let alone so soon given replies given by DM over at CBFSim, but the update for his Dehavilland Comet package is here! In brief you now get a more detailed, higher resolution panel, a VC and new dynamics. It’s one of the prettiest, high performance VC’s around and is an absolute joy to hand fly… then there’s the noise! For more infomation and downloads head over to DM Flight Sim.

747 Ready For Pushback goes Freeware
One of the most complex ever made for flight simulation and top airliner for many years, RFP has gone freeware. It may not be the prettiest add-on by todays standards (read ‘won’t harm performance’) but for free systems simulation it’s hard to beat.
You can download it from Ralph’s Panel shop or Avsim.

SamDim Tupolev Tu-124
Master designer Dimitri Samborski has published another winner with the aid of his friends. Comprehensive simulation (and documentation) complete with a great model. Check out this very interesting jet transport pioneer. It’s one the easier Soviet simulations!

BSMP Saab 2000
Blue Sky Mine Productions have been very busy of late with two more projects nearing release. Continuous re-working may slow release and hurt the blood pressure but it sure is beautiful. Complete with panel and several liveries, download it from BSMP website.

Project Airbus
The project has been a little quiet for a while but they stormed back in June with a superb rendition of the Airbus a320. Really satisfying dynamics and stunning model, probably the best freeware Airbus around. Check out their pretty website.
